Since September, when I last tried to string together some logical thoughts, nothing much has really changed. The fashion for gloom is still prevalent, even though news from around the world is relatively good and would be a lot better but for Europe.
Since April there have been few significant events compared with the first quarter. The earthquake in Japan and the tornadoes in the USA have had considerable economic impact...
In February we reviewed the various key issues facing the world's economies, but in March we have seen two game changing events. The horror of the Japanese earthquake and the colossally more damaging tsunami that followed resulted in awful death and destruction for tens of thousands of people...
